How do I action the request to provide my product information?

You will have received an email with instructions on how to complete the request from your customer. Click on the 'GET STARTED' link in the email which will direct you to either register or sign in to the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform and from there, you will be directed automatically into the Supply Chain Builder form.

The product information request is a simple one-page form on the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform that is limited to some high-level information about the product that your customer has referenced including where you manufacture or process the product and the sub-components that form part of your product. You will be asked to provide an email address for suppliers that provide components that go into your product so that we can cascade the request down the supply chain and map this for you and your customer.

To complete the request, follow the steps below:

1. Find the email request about the supply chain initiative that you have received. It will have been sent from no-reply@supplierassurance.com
2. Click on the 'GET STARTED' link in the email to either 'Sign in' or 'Register' on the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform
3. Complete the required information in the Supply Chain Builder form
4. Once you have entered your product information and your sub-component supplier information, select 'Invite' at the bottom of the form to cascade the request to the component suppliers

What product information will I be required to submit?

The information request is designed with simplicity in mind, allowing us to offer insights into product supply chains without too much effort on your part.

The Supply Chain Builder form is a simple one-page form that requires some high-level information about the product that you supply to your customer. The product in question will be highlighted to you at the top of the Supply Chain Builder and you can add in a Product part ID that is recognizable to you. You will need to enter the production locations where you manufacture or process your product and then add the components that go into your product in question. You should use a component part name that will be recognizable to your suppliers i.e. the name or ID that you include on your purchase orders or contracts so that it is clear to them when they receive the same request for their product information.

To complete the request, follow the steps below:

2. Click on the 'GET STARTED' link in the email to either 'Sign in' or 'Register' on the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform

Why have I received an invitation about a supply chain initiative?

You have received an invitation to participate in a supply chain initiative because one of your customers requires increased visibility of their supply chain. They need you to provide some high-level product and supply chain information on the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform.

By responding to the invitation and providing the high-level product information that your customer has requested, you are demonstrating your commitment to your customer and to their initiative. Additionally, by fulfilling this request, you also gain visibility into your own sub-tier supply chain on the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform.

To complete the request, follow the steps below:

1. Find the email request about the supply chain initiative that you have received. It will have been sent from no-reply@supplierassurance.com
2. Click on the 'GET STARTED' link in the email to either 'Sign in' or 'Register' on the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform
3. Complete the required information in the Supply Chain Builder form

How will my organization benefit from participating in the supply chain initiative?

Responding to your customer's request and participating in the supply chain mapping initiative on the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform helps you and your organization to learn more about your own supply chain. You will have full access to your own direct supply chain information and insight into your sub-tier supply chain.

The supply chain information that you will have access to, at no cost to you or your own organization, can be used to benefit your own due diligence and responsible sourcing activities. You will have access to intelligence about your own product supply chain including where the sub-components are manufactured and/or processed and the potential risks that may be prevalent within your supply chain.

To complete the request, follow the steps below:

2. Click on the 'GET STARTED' link in the email to either 'Sign in' or 'Register' on the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform

How do I view my supply chain information?

Once you have responded to the product information request and completed the Supply Chain Builder for your product, you will be able to view your own supply chain information including your product and component hierarchy, supply chain map and any risks that may be prevalent within your supply chain. The visibility of your supply chain will increase as each of your suppliers and sub-suppliers responds to the request for information.

Your products and your locations as well as your suppliers' components and their locations will be visible to you in both hierarchy format as well as on an interactive supply chain map. The Component map will provide you with an insight of where all your supplier locations used to produce the components of your product are plotted. You will only see the names of your direct suppliers as sub-tier supply chain information is fully anonymized in accordance with the Principle of Least Privilege.

To view your own supply chain data, follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform
2. Use the search bar on your dashboard to find your product that you want to view the supply chain for and select the 'View supply chain' option.
3. The 'Component map' will plot each location within your product supply chain map.
4. To view your supply chain in a hierarchical way, select 'Component hierarchy'
5. To view a comprehensive overview of all the mapped components within the supply chain, select 'Component list'

Who can see my product and supply chain information?

The high-level product information that you provide will only be visible to you and your direct customer and the sub-component and sub-tier supply chain information that you provide is fully anonymized. The Principle of Least Privilege is enforced which means that your sub-tier product and supply chain information is only visible to you and completely anonymized for your customers.

Disclosure of sub-tier supply chain information is only available to the ultimate customer who initiated the original request and only available to them in the event of a legitimate business reason such as a legal or regulatory request. You will be informed in the event that there is a legitimate business reason for any such disclosure.

To view your own supply chain data, follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform
2. Use the search bar on your dashboard to find your product that you want to view the supply chain for and select the 'View supply chain' option.
3. The 'Component map' will plot each location within your product supply chain map.
4. To view your supply chain in a hierarchical way, select 'Component hierarchy'
5. To view a comprehensive overview of all the mapped components within the supply chain, select 'Component list'
